At Bell-East Middle School, each seventh and eighth grade students will take a one semester long course called Life Management. During Life Management, students will find themselves in a business like atmosphere. Students are managers, co-workers, and also in direct learning modules. Mrs. Carla Morgan is the supervisor or business owner of Life Management. She answers student questions, helps locate supplies needed for managers, and has the final word in each decision.
Just like in a business world, each person has their own part to the productivity of business. Life Management teaches students how to sew and cook certain meals, but completing this includes teamwork and cooperation from every student. This is very important practice for students to experience using terminology and practices common to the business world. In Life Management, Mrs. Morgan not only prepares students for the
business world ahead, but she makes sure they experience it.
