Preslee Boyd is a seventh grader at Ronald K Bell-East Middle School. She has many talents and likes doing many things with her friends, but by far, her favorite thing is to do is play the piano.
Preslee has been playing the piano since she was seven years old. Preslee says, “My great grandpa is my inspiration for beginning to play the piano because I have many great memories around the piano at his house.” This memory is when she would go to her great grandfather’s house when she was a little girl they loved to sing together and Preslee would “play” the piano by banging on the keys. This is why Preslee began taking piano lessons. Preslee also began taking piano because she loves the beautiful sound of the piano’s music. When she listens to the music, it brings back the memories of her great grandfather and their days together when she was younger. Her piano teacher, Deana Davis, has helped her to master many songs on the piano. Preslee can play over 100 songs, and she is still learning many more. She loves the piano and does not regret starting to play the piano because she has learned many great things. Preslee practices the piano three to four days a week, each practice lasting around 30 minutes each. Her favorite song to play on the piano is “I’ll be there for you,” the FRIENDS theme song.
Preslee loves to show others her many talents, especially playing the piano. She wants to play the piano as long as she can and wants to be able to play many difficult songs.
