Emmah Keller is a seventh grader at Bell-East Middle School. Emmah’s parents enrolled her in dance class when she was two years old and has been dancing for eleven years. She stuck with the sport because she really fell in love with the art of dance. Though she is a talented dancer, Emmah also enjoys cheer and tumbling. Emmah first started tumbling when she got her back handspring at eight and started cheering in sixth grade at age twelve. She pursues her talents at Elite Dance and Acrobatics and the Bell-East Middle School Cheer Team. An inspiration for Emmah is the Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglass. “She inspires me because she never gave-up through the good and bad. I think that is a wonderful character trait and I hope to adopt it,” Emmah stated.
She has had many accomplishments through her years of dance, tumbling, and cheer. Emmah is a former dancer on the Elite Force competition team and is currently on the Bell-East Middle School Cheer Team. She has gotten numerable gold and high-gold awards for her dance and tumbling pieces and won fourth in the Mid-State competition for cheerleading. In the future, she would like to improve her tumbling skills in order to progress in cheer.
